I finally got the Elephanilla and Parrybo from a VERY nice person on XBox Live called Falcon1024!

If you’re reading this, Falcon, thanks for your help!

I can now OFFICIALLY make the Pinata Encyclopedia on this web site… but it will take some time. So just give me a while, and I can get it done.

Gaming Breaks July 29, 2008

That dumb Macaracoon is finally gone. It walked 2 steps in my garden and started dying, so I whacked it a few times and it left after much waiting.

Also, the Elephanilla and Parrybo that I ordered from someone on XBox Live won’t be coming because their Viva Pinata game messed up as it usually does when you use the Wireless Controller.

I’ve realized how many times this happens and it still puzzles me. I remember it messing up while I used the Wireless Controller until my game finally broke, which gave my XBox 360 some sort of disease called “The Ring of Death”, where the usually green light on your system turns red and the panels go in circles. It basically wouldn’t turn on so I sent it off to get fixed.

So when your game messes up, I suggest you go by a new one before you have to pay much more money just to get your platform fixed.

By messing up, I mean the camera freezes, and you don’t get to save, which was always very frusterating for me.

Well… there’s this Macaracoon that isn’t a resident stuck outside of my garden… it’s not making any noises and it won’t move. It’s been in the same position for at least 10 days!!!!

It’s starting to scare me…

It just stares at me. It still breathes, it just doesn’t make the squeaky noises that it usually does, and it won’t run around really fast like it usually does either.

Can someone please help me? I can’t whack it with my shovel because it isn’t close enough!! FREAKY!!

Okay, maybe this should have been in the last post. But I was just informed that Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise is coming out… drum roll, please… September 8, 2008! So it may have taken longer than I thought. Who cares.

  • Customization: design a beautiful, welcoming garden environment to attract piñatas
  • Collecting: complete the Piñata Pyramid with over 60 piñatas to collect, including 7 brand-new species
  • Caretaking: ensure the happiness of your residents by tending to their needs
  • Missions: complete missions for your favorite characters from the TV series
  • Multi-player: transfer items, any piñata, accessory or object from your garden to a friend’s garden

Wow, so many new features. But I’m sure that it won’t be nearly as good as Trouble in Paradise.

Hmmmmm… I guess I’ll tell you about one pinata… okay, okay. It’s a Ram. Not sure what it’s name is, but it has something to do with the new terrain types.

Everyone, the rumors are true! There will be yet another Viva Pinata game featuring more pinatas, terrains, and more! And you’ll never believe it… It’s coming out in September of this year! That’s right, folks!!

This year, can you believe it?!

And here are the brand new features:

  • More than 30 new Piñatas
  • New Desert and Arctic terrain and pinatas
  • Toys and trains for your pinata to interact with. You can also teach pinatas to perform tricks
  • New ‘camera’ tool allows you to upload photos to VivaPinata.com
  • Just for Fun casual mode – No sours, no weeds, infinite chocolate coins… but doesn’t have access to some of the more exotic pinata species.
  • Couch Social local co-op – second player has access to all tools, actions and activities, and also can collect “magic” to spend on tinkering items, healing a sick piñata or filling a piñata’s candiosity meter
  • Pinata Vision uses printed cards with a unique bar code that can be scanned via the Xbox Live Vision Camera

Some great features, huh? I thought so.
